New Kid

Don’t get mad at me
Just ‘cuz you can’t play
I may have wire all over my teeth
But I got something to say

I’m trying to do this gently
Just doing it bit by bit
I’ve got time and time on my hands
And I'd be damned to quit

The music may be loud
God knows the words are crude
But somebody needs to spell them out
Leave now and don’t be rude

They say it’s all in pieces
Take all and don’t take one
You may have been famous for a minute or two
But now, daddy-o, I’m the one
