Time Passes

Another year has passed
And yet
We are still no younger

Tears now back where they had been before
And smiles?
Alas, we wonder

I go now
Where I’ve never been
I stare and feel a number

Looking for traces of my father’s love
Deep in the lies
Here in the eyes of another
