Five o'clock in the morning.
My "little man" Trevor crawls in my bed.
His cold feet push under my legs.
He says, meme its a Meme-Trevor day!
I kiss his forehead and tell him yes
When the sun comes up we'll have
A Meme-Trevor day.
Now we sleep.  Okay?

When the alarm clock goes off
He wakes and turns it off.
He grabs my glasses and says
"Its a beautiful day" right meme?
Yes it is Trev, I say in a sleep-fog.
Now he wants breakfast and I need coffee!
Trevor is so happy!

His mom runs up the stairs.
She came back because she forgot something.
Trevor cries out, "go away mom"!
"Don't you know its a Meme-Trevor Day"?
She smiles and says I know, I know,
Then kisses him goodbye.

We make our beds, get dressed, and brush our teeth.
I, with my backpack, he with his, we're ready to go.
We walk for awhile and look at the leaves.
Pick the best colored ones for later.
We go to the library and read together.
He picks out a few books to take home.

We walk a little more taking in the day.
Now he's hungry for lunch.
A picnic in the front yard.
Every truck that goes by grabs his full attention.
We know each make now.
He gets all excited because a crane just went by.
"Meme!  That's just like papa's crane!

His mom drives into the driveway; Meme-Trevor Day is over.
Trevor is very happy!  Meme is exhausted!
