WHY GRIEVE MY LOVE?--award winner
Departing words of the wife on her death bed.

WHY GRIEVE MY LOVE?

Why grieve my love that I won’t be
Any more in your arms?
Why grieve that you shall not partake
Any more of my charms?

We were both of us so in love,
We never thought one day
Our love would end abruptly and
From death bed I would say:

“Why grieve that we are parting now?
Just count the joys we had.
Let’s thank God for all that He gave.
As we part, don’t be sad.

From now on I won’t be in flesh.
My love shall be with you.
We shall certainly meet in the
Next world, I know it’s true”.
