WHY GRIEVE MY LOVE?
Why grieve my love that I won’t be Any more in your arms? Why grieve that you shall not partake Any more of my charms? We were both of us so in love, We never thought one day Our love would end abruptly and From death bed I would say: “Why grieve that we are parting now? Just count the joys we had. Let’s thank God for all that He gave. As we part, don’t be sad. From now on I won’t be in flesh. My love shall be with you. We shall certainly meet in the Next world, I know it’s true”. *Written in 8-6-8-6, abcb format. • Awarded Third Place in My Weekly Contest~Poetry's Prism, in the week 11/26 to 12/03, December 2007, {item: 962569} M C Gupta 13 November 2008
