A Mother

Above all else, she is a mother who
loves her children unconditionally.
She teaches them, as they work and
play together, about important things in life.

She disciplines with love and wisdom,
knowing she is shaping their future.
By her own deeds, she instills in them honesty,
work ethic, independence, and kindness for others.

Above all else, she is a mother who
teaches them the important things in life,
disciplines them in love and wisdom,
and gives them hope for a brighter future.

Pat Nelson

***Dedicated to my sister, Peggy Hodge, who not only raised her own daugther and step-daughter, but is now raising her step-daughter's two children, in spite of having Lupus.
