Overcast skies,
lovers who constantly sigh, birds that can never fly, aren't the reasons why we lie, or cry, or die, it's just the ways we live by. Oh, harbors in the dawn, when we wake and yawn, when the rich terminate their pawns, and when commoners mow their lawns and when the greedy man kills the faun, the ship still comes at dawn. Seagulls on the beach, while the poor reach out their sad hands to those who teach about how to preach to the innocent black man weeping on the beach. Farmers reap, and mothers weep while daughters sweep and sons shave the sheep and fathers take a dreadful leap, all because it's not their life to keep. Temptation raises the stakes, and ruin the States, when it says that golden plates are there to await those who insult their mates but they're just gonna have to wait for us, 'cause that's one thing they can't debate. Cosmic mariners are coming home to hide under their little stones, until they roam, when they hear the moan, of the banks that can't afford to loan to those living on the sea of foam, or who live beneath the blue diamond dome.
