Sleeping in the dawn, Colors all around. Dew quietly glistens; Breeze begins to stir. Trees start to whisper, Rousing the birds From sleepy nests. Chatter begins to grow. Nature, slowly wakening, Busily starts the day. Sun slowly rising Changes color From moment to moment Slowly cascading. As water falling down Gets caught in the lake And keeps building, Soon the sun is full, And day is dawned- Bright and crisp. Dew recedes, Colors settle, Sleeper rouses Having missed The awesome beauty Of the dawn.
