Persian:  Muqaam e amn o mai e baighash o rafeeq e shafeeq
              Garat mudaam mayassar shawad, zahay toofeeq
Urdu;      Muqaam e amn o mai e khaalis o rafeeq e shafeeq
              Rahaen mudaan mayassar ager, zahay toufeeq

English:=== A nice place, a kind friend, and the vintage wine
                  Something like this you just cannot decline
                                                -

Persian:  Dareegh o dard keh ta ein zamaan nadaanistam
              Keh keemia e saadat rafeeq bood, rafeeq
Urdu:      Yeh raaz khul na saka mujh pay haay kuin ya Rab
              Keh keemia e sadat thay wo rafeeq e rafeeq

English:=== The secret of joy is in having a friend
                  And a friend on whom you can really depend
                                                    -

Persian:  Kujaast ahl e dilay ta kunad dalaalat e khair
              Keh ma ba doost naburdeem reh ba heech tareeq
Urdu:      Haen ahl e dil wo kahaan jin ki rehnumaaie say
              Wisaal e yaar ka mil jaay mujh ko aek tareeq

English:=== If you want to find God, give up your pride
                  And make your love for Him your guide
                                                    -

Persian:  Jahaan o kaar e jahaan jumla heech dar heech ast
              Hazaar baar mun ein nukta karda am tehqeeq
Urdu:      Jahaan o kaar e jahaan jumla heech haen saaray
              Hazaar baar kya nukta maen nay yeh tehqeeq

English:=== Our pleasures are empty and the world is naught
                  It's all a dream and a figment of thought
                                                  -

Persian:  Bamaananay roo o fursat shumar ghaneemat e waqt
              Keh dar kameengeh e umrand qaataan e tareeq
Urdu:      Jo waqt e fursat o mohlat milay ghaneemat hay
              Keh rah e umr marn haail haen mushkilaat e daqeeq

English:=== Enjoy what you have, and don't ask for more
                  Because on your way there're robbers galore
                                                    -

Persian:  Fida e ghamza e saaqi hazaar jaan aan dam
              Keh tar kunad lab e laal az sharaab hamchu aqeeq
Urdu:      Fida e ghamza e saaqi maen kuin na houn jab wo
              Karay hay tar ba mai e laal faam lab kay aqeeq

English:=== The maid of the bar, she is truly divine
                  Just see how she wets her lips with the wine
                                                    -

Persian:  Halaawatay keh tura dar cheh e zankhdaanast
              Bakinh e o narasad sad hazaar fikr e ameeq
Urdu:      Wo chaashni jo hay taeray cheh e zanikhdaan maen
              Na paaen us ki haqeeqat hazaar fikr e ameeq 

English:=== If you do not kiss it, it would be a sin
                  For nothing is sweeter than her dimpled chin
                                                    - 

Persian:  Bia keh toobah zay laal e nigaar o khanda e jaam
              Tasawwureest keh aqlash namikunad tasdeeq
Urdu:      Tabassum e lab e shireen o khanda e saaghar
              Hay baat aisie na jis ki ho aql say tasdeeq

English:=== Just see how she serves and how she smiles
                  Our faith and reason, oh, how she beguiles
                                                    -

Persian:  Agar cheh moo e mianat ba chu munay na rasad
              Khush ast khaatiram az fikr ein khayaal e daqeeq
Urdu:      Ager cheh raishmeen kakul na ker saka maen sar
              Rakhay hay khush meri khaatir khayaal e zulf e daqeeq

English:=== And look at her body and her narrow waist
                  For whoever made her had a wonderful taste
                                                  -

Persian:  Az aan ba rang e aqeeq ast ashk e mun hama waqt
              Keh mohr e khaatim e chashm e mun ast hamchu aqeeq
Urdu:      Mila hay rang e aqeeqi jo aansoun ko meray
              Hay mohr e khaatim e chahm e puraab misl e aqeeq

English:=== And see how her lips are always so red
                  Like the tears her lovers are prone to shed
                                                  -

Persian:  Bakhanda guft keh HAFIZ ghulaam e tab e to am
              Babeen keh ta ba cheh haddam hamikunad tehmeeq
Urdu:      Jo hans kay kehta hay HAFIZ tera ghulaam houn maen
              Wo daekho kaisay karay shoukh hay meri tehmeeq

English:=== And, HAFIZ, when she tells you that she's your slave
                  You are easily fooled and you rave and rave
