THE ANNIVERSARY

When I lost you my dear wife,
My life became empty,
To be lived in loneliness,
Until eternity.

You were my dream flower which
Now lies plucked and shattered.
Its petals, your memories,
Lie all around scattered.

You left me ten years ago
And thus ended the dream.
Since that day my eyes have not
Witnessed colour or gleam.
