FROZEN HEART
I can’t love. Why? Don’t ask me. This is just my destiny. I too was a bubbling girl, Fragrance in my every curl. I too had a sweet boyfriend. With him life I planned to spend. But he spent a night with me And gave me ignominy. That black night I can’t forget, Which, till this day, I regret. I had trusted his love and He turned into a fiend. He simply tore me apart, Then did, from my life, depart. My heart froze that summer night, Full of fright and full of blight. I cannot, to you, explain: Frozen heart can’t thaw again. * Written in 7-7 format. Initially written as entry no. 357086 in the book "WOMEN'S AND GENDER ISSUES" M C Gupta 1 July 2005
