For the Twelve Days of Writing Contest
Unbelievable.

Festive lights. All aglow.

Upon my window. A sparkling jewel. Glitters in moonlight.

Illumination surrounds me now. A shadowy figure appears. Waits, and watches me. My heart hammers loudly.

You move towards the window. Slow and steady footfalls echo. My chest rises and falls. My eyes search for yours. You pull back the hoodie.

A crooked smile I see first. Full red lips with white teeth. Deep green eyes search for answers. I am breathless drinking you in. Long to touch your golden hair. A hand placed on the glass.

I raise mine, move it toward yours. The cool glass stands between us two. All I want is to touch you. To know the woman that passes by. You are the first to ever stop. I am fascinated by your sudden curiosity. Wondering what your voice will sound like.
