Here we are, alive and well.
One goes to this hell, the other, to this paradise by a fate so concise and polite and cool. We're just at opposite ends of the pool. You said it was you, not me, that's not true. If it was, then why did you always lie? I just wanted you to be mine, but we're just at opposite ends of time. When you kissed me I thought I was free. But when you looked at the other guy, my heart was cooked. And when you said I was best, I knew we were at opposite ends of the rest. I still remember your smile and it held me for a while. But when your lips said, "Done" I was dead. I thought we were perfect together, but we were at opposite ends for each other. I thought we were close together but when you came under the weather I discovered the truth of our relationship. It was the sinkin' of your titanic ship that enabled me to see that we're at opposite ends of the sea. Now you're leavin' me behind like I's never even in your mind. You don't look back and as the sky goes black, as the stars are hidden above, you realize we're at opposite ends of love.
