SITTING BETWEEN TWO STOOLS

SITTING BETWEEN TWO STOOLS

For those who prize knowledge, logic,
It is true, as a rule,
That they can suffer anything,
But can’t suffer a fool.

When life is dreary, for a change,
Jokes are certainly cool.
But can we perceive humor in
What says a petty fool?

Why, of causing pain to others,
Make ignorance a tool?
But devoid of all common sense,
What else can do a fool?

Who has not heard it is foolish
To sit between two stools?
In order to prove this adage,
This is what do the fools.
