Rollercoaster
Endeavor speaks and says, “Never.” I ache from despair, frustration and failure at every turn. My strength wanes and leaves me limp, void of any desire to make effort, nauseous from empty promises. Prayers drip from my chin, staining my face as they fall, only to reach deaf ears. Still I fight, one day at a time, to hold on to my own sanity as I struggle to help him find his. Then one small glimmer of hope has this warrior reeling with joy again. Will this rollercoaster ever end? Pat Nelson December 12, 2008
