LET THE STAR GUIDE ME

Look up at the star-filled sky on Christmas Eve,
Enjoy the countryside and the snow-covered tree
That stands beside the path to our little church,
The beauty was there, no need for me to search.

Heaven-sent were my days here on earth,
Evening star shone for all it was worth!
So little time 'til the Lord calls me home
The angels are with me, so I'm not alone.

Angels singing praise to Jesus the King
Rejoice in the night and praise I will sing!
Giving my love to all for its all that I can do
Under the light of the star to guide me through.

I will let the star guide me to Heaven tonight
Evening star, guiding me, this lovely night.
Merry Christmas to all and to all good cheer
Evening star beckons on a night crisp and clear.
