Build Your Stronghold
"Be prepared" is not just a Boy Scout motto

The enemy attacks the stronghold, not the barren land.
It is in your secure resting place where you’ll take your stand.
You will feel the anger as you construct your walls up high.
Those who have no firm structure will your every move despise.

The building blocks and mortar were prepared by careful hands
who understood the enemy and their destructive plans.
Brick upon brick, line upon line, a strong fortress is made.
The work is hard, discipline demands there be no delay.

Sheer strength alone will not suffice, readiness is the key.
Knowing the place where you’ll stand will assure your victory.
Live in the stronghold once it’s built, memorize every room.
Take the time to test the walls, the enemy’s coming soon.

Know your enemy and determine how he thinks and moves.
Read what he’s spoken against you and each false word disprove.
Amass weapons carefully; make sure they are war ready.
Practice using every one until your aim is steady.

When you have taken every care preparing for the fight,
retire into your resting place and lock the doors up tight.
Let the warmth of this inner room surround you with its peace
knowing that you are not alone; His presence will not cease.
