If you had the opportunity to see your future, what would you do? (Form: Shadorma)

** #1506675 Not An Image **

I dreamt of
a far-off doorway
and pondered
its meaning.
Was it a message about
what could lay ahead?

Down the dark
passage way resides
the answer
I sought but
in cowardice I ran from
the door out of dread.

Notes  Prompt: Picture Form: Shadorma - A syllabic poem. It has six lines - with a syllable pattern: 3/5/3/3/7/5  (The end rhyme is not part of the form Bigsmile)  I guess, technically, this is a Shadorma chain.  Several of the examples you gave had multiple "stanzas" and it wasn't clear if you wanted one 6 line or just consistency in the form.

egress - the act or an instance of going, esp. from an enclosed place.
