This Is Me

This Is Me

I am ready to conquer this
enemy-- depression and anxiety.
One day, one step at a time
will take me into the light.

Darkness will no longer be my god.
Worshipping pain is a thing of the past.
Focusing on the light will draw me out
and rescue me from the solitude.

Secrecy is my enemy.
Writing is my salvation.
No longer will I hide who I am.
This is me. Take me or leave me.
