Trapped
What goes on when we must endure life?

Feeling trapped
Behind walls of my own making
Walls I can't see.
All I want is to escape.
All I want is to stay.
Torn, and I knew I would be
But that doesn't make it any easier.
Endure.
My heart is dying.
Drip, drip, drip.
Every moment another piece of me ebbs away.
I may not come out of this with my heart intact,
But I will come out of it.
I may come out of it dead to the life I once knew,
But I must endure.
I will endure.
And I will come out of it... somehow.
