Its half past five and everybody is asleep except for me I am a kid that has nothing. I have been looking for my family for the past six years I am a sixteen year old boy looking for love and still nothing. Nobody white will take me in cause I am black so I just lie in the alleys  hoping one day somebody will come and find me . About three days after my stomach was gurgling for food I have not eaten for the past five days I went to a little coffee shop wondering what I can buy for 38 cents the women at the till looks at me thinking I am joking she laughs and says my dear child you can never by anything for 38 cents now go off and when you get real money come back and I will give you something decent to eat. I was desperate so I went and found myself a little corner to dance and sing I was upset by how many people came about 3 or 4 people came but they gave me a pretty decent amount probably enough to buy a doughnut and glass of warm milk. I went back to the store and asked the lady how much I can get now as I pored the money on the counter she asked me how did I get this money I was nervous to tell her  but I got enough courage to tell her I was just dancing and singing a tune that’s all the lady looks at me and said well must have been one boring show cause all you have hear is 1:10 I looked at her in a depressed way like little puppy eyes and she told me never to come back to her store again I left the store with tears dripping down my eyes this women saw my tears and asked my dear boy what is wrong? I looked at her with my wet face and gave her a slight hug crying my eyes out telling her my life experience it was dark out but I swear I saw tears running down her eyes to she asked me in a sweet calm voice would you like to come stay with me until you find your parents I look at her with a smile and said no I would like to stay with you forever that day I still remember and I still look back on now I am a 32 year old man married with two children and I will never forget the face or the sound of that women’s voice again
