WISHING NEW YEAR: a sonnet
What do I wish you as the old year ends And a new one is poised to take its place? The march of time rather ill days portends The world today does threat of terror face Economic meltdown does haunt the world, Playing havoc with jobs and bank balance. Many woes have been suddenly unfurled. This Christmas has rather a dark nuance. My friend, I simply wish that this New Year May bring for you and your family peace. About earning bread you may not have fear. Your heart and mind may always be at ease. In Him let us faith and hope always place. Let us pray that to all He sends his grace. M C Gupta 25 December 2008
