Crib Death
A crime reveals itself years after it's committed; to the very man that committed it.

Dark
caverns
discovered
in consciousness.
Unintentional
holes of forgotten crimes
suddenly plague his disguise;
a man of moral fortitude.
Flaring visions did surface and rip
buried transgressions of sordid nature.
A shared bedroom with newborn sibling,
cries in the darkness, overcome;
looming shadow on crib’s edge.
Passage of seasons, age
reveal bitter truth;
suffocation.
Premature
plunge to
peace.
