TWO WITH ONE HEART
A lovely point of view

If only we were conjoined twins
We would be joined at the heart
One heart couldn’t beat without
Knowledge of the other
Each breathe and sigh noted
Though not burdensome to bear
Each need and care anticipated
Not taken for granted
Thoughts, private and personal
Shared when time and events
Deemed: “This thing is right for us!”
We would be the greatest of friends
We will have become “one flesh”
Together by acceptance
In a tandem alliance
We have met the challenge
Of love and marriage at last!
