FINAL PLUNGE
Don’t ask me why I end this life. For me now it is of no use. I hope that for this act of mine You will me certainly excuse. My life knew no pleasure or pain Save your meeting and departing; But now you are gone for ever My pain is now everlasting. For how long shall I bear this pain? Why not end it once and for all? As I now take the final plunge, A happy thought does me enthrall. I know that after my last breath, I shall be rid of all the pain. Ere long, my love, I verily Will be with you yet once again! * Written in 8-8-8-8, abcb format. M C Gupta 1 January 2009
