That Summer
A Summer Night That Ill Always Remember

Lying in your arms on that cool summer night,
looking up at the stars and everything was alright.

Thinking of you and how long we've been together,
dreaming and hoping it could last forever.

Remembering the nights we so long ago shared,
the long talks about the future and how you always cared.

Thinking of the good times that always made me smile,
thinking of you made it all worthwhile

Now thinking of you brings pain to my heart,
because you said we'd never be apart.

I still think of you and all the memories we shared,
and now it seems like you never really cared.

Staying up throughout the night,
wishing you could hold me tight.

I really loved you but you broke my heart,
and now I'm glad that we're apart.
