A triology of Poems written in the Irish verse form “Snámh Suad”
a. an octave, each line has 3 syllables b. rhymed aabcdddc c. L4 and L8 must be 3 syllable words. d. written with the defining features of most Celtic poems, cywddydd (harmony of sound) and dunadh (beginning and ending the poem with the same word, phrase or line) Irish Rain Rains forever soaks whomever country or cityscape. Falls on head, tourist dread, farmers fed – O’Rainscape. Generations of stopped traffic Scolding sheep roads they keep; coal eyes stare, unmoving. Never yield, dark eyes peeled far afield, reproving. Glenveagh Sponge soft ground mounts surround – subdue, we rubberneck. Stop.
