Untold
On not being able to turn everything into poetry.

To write down something

that comes to my mind,

is a pleasure of a sort

I can’t describe.

Something that emerges at the back of my mind

and no matter how silly it is, it finds its way

to the letters on this page.

But sometimes when it is beyond the reach of words,

it stays there- in the form of images, thoughts and feelings.

Things that can’t be framed into words,

but can only be seen, thought about or felt.

So many of these things are left unwritten, untold.

But they are still there

with me- in my mind and thoughts,

unspoken, unwritten, untold.

They don’t have a voice,

nor a pen.

They strive, struggle to come out

but I can’t let them.

It isn’t possible.

They are meant to be only there and nowhere else.

They can’t go away anywhere.

They are here, right here with me

and will remain always!!
