Dear me,

I promise to myself to realize how special I am. To believe that through hard work and accomplishment I have made my goals and now is the time to reap what i have sewn. I will not work as much and enjoy my love. The love that has finally come to me after years of looking for it.

I will enjoy my planning for my upcoming wedding and realize how lucky i am. I have everything i have always wanted and i should enjoy it and not think someone is either going to take it away or a disaster is going to happen. I will enjoy what i have and not be scared of the unknown.

To the man i love i promise to always love and adore him. He is my rock and salvation. Who would think i would find a man that likes to listen to my problems. Loving him has made me a better person and i will continue to be patient and kind.

My life is going to go forward and not listen to negativity around me. I had or have an overbearing mother who has always said i am worthless and now she says i am going to mess up my relationship with a good man because i am horrible. My mother has always been so critical of me that i need three hours to decompress after a visit from her. It is going to be hard but i have to believe i am worthy of love and not listen to others who say otherwise.

Finally, because of all the exciting things that are happening i will have plenty of ideas to write about. I have reviewed works for awhile and couldn't concentrate on my writing. Now my cup runneth over with ideas for haikus and standard poetry. I hope to win contests and establish myself.

The year 2009 is a year for a new outlook and positive energy. To the new year and all the happiness it may bring. This will be the year that i soar and believe that it was all worth it. The bad relationships that went nowhere and the exhaustion from working to much was all coming to this point. It is true whatever doesn't kill you will make you stronger
