Ramblings of a Righteous Mind
..at least in His, not yours and mine...

"Truth will fade with repeated washings; the shade will never stay the same."

***
Do I face a greater hell
if the truth I always tell?

In the writing of a verse,
is it wrong if I rehearse?

If I take a potty break,
do I then the Muse forsake?

If I lose that one refrain,
will the Muse say I'm to blame?

Is the lesson in the story
or the rhythm behind the page?
Does the music fade with fashion
or does it pass away from age?

Is the secret in the bottle
when you pour out a glass of wine,
or does rich bouquet and flavor
derive directly from the vine?

What is art if not a picture
formulated within the mind,
an integrated ideation
of individual design?
