I am not the type of writer who can just begin a story and know where I want it to go. I usually work out how many characters and types, bring in a plot, add all kinds of run-on sentences and then jot down what I want from the story. I used to keep journals, several of them. Those black and white composition books used to line my walls. Each one in chronological order by date started, referencing the subject matter. I still keep a few around; one in my Jeep, a couple at home and one at work. I never know when or what will inspire me so I like to jot ideas down in them as they come. It works much better than a post-it note! Thanks to WDC, I utilize my note pad for almost everything I am currently working on, with backup copies on my portable drive.
I have one blog, actually just started it January 1st. I created it to share pieces of myself and to learn more about the people I have made friends with here on the site. It is not a diary, it is a public journal. To me, a diary is very personal; things I would only talk to myself or my muse about. It is for thoughts and feelings that I do not want an opinion on.
