damn purple cast
adhered to my left-hand
my dominant right-brained hand,
now, with nothing to do
pens, papers, pencils
unruly, unyielding
resist my right-hand grasp
patient persistent practice
lets me write , like a child,
each letter, a happy miracle
carving out new synapses
ambidexterity looms as possibility,
suddenly, accidental adversity
tumbles toward victory
