The camera panned over the multitude of rocky peaks lining the southern rim of the Grand Canyon before stopping in front of the rust clad “Myth Busters” sign.

“Jamie, have you ever heard of the Fall of Icarus?” Exclaimed a jubilant Adam Savage, stepping into the camera’s view.

“You mean the Greek dude whose wax wings melted when he flew too close to the sun?” replied Jamie Hyneman in his familiar nonchalant voice.

“The one and only! Imagine how practical such a flying machine would be to have, especially with the rising costs of airline tickets? All you would have to do is strap on a set of feather-covered waxed wings and flap your way to a Caribbean dream vacation. ”

“But wouldn’t the human body’s general lack of aerodynamic flow be a problem? Besides, could you claim Airmiles points?”

“I don’t know Jamie, but I think it sounds like a job for Myth Busters!”

The camera follows the duo as they walk towards a young man dressed in gray coveralls, peppered with interwoven, wax-glazed black feathers. Adam vigorously shakes the lad’s hand.

“This is Johnny Knoxville, from the hit show ‘Jackass’! He’s agreed to test our contraption.”

As if on cue, Johnny bolts towards the edge of the cliff and promptly disappears from view except for a few suspended feathers. A long, fading scream fills the canyon walls for a good minute followed by a resounding thud a la Bugs Bunny, Road Runner and Coyote Show.

The camera zooms onto both Adam’s and Jamie’s faces as the peer down the 2000 meter drop.

“I guess this myth is definitely busted...” Adam mutters, cringing his face.

“So is Johnny…” added Jamie.
