I am Free
A haunted memory
Rated:

I see your face on the street
haunting me wherever I go.
I thought I loved you
But the truth is abuse
kills love and cripples
until the heart finally
acknowledges it has to be free.

You are a part of my past.
I look to the future ahead
Bruises don't last, I know
Memories take longer to go
The difference now is
I am free!
