Drowning (In My Own Tears)
(December 27, 2008)

You and I parted for a brief moment
You were to return to me
But you never did

And so there I was
Sitting in my room
Enveloped by sorrow
Deep and strong

Tears flew from my eyes
Like raging rivers
I felt so alone, so empty
Wishing you back
But that wasn’t to be

The brief moment dragged on
Like a never ending song
And I sat there drowning
Drowning in my own tears
They flooded my face, my being
And the room around me

I wonder what happened
What caused you to not return to me
At the very least to bid me farewell
And tell me we must part for a short while
It was not your intention I know
You’d never leave without a good-bye
But still I wish it hadn’t happened

You are the best part of my life
I need you here with me
Now and forever
I hope you will return to me soon
And that you haven’t vanished from my life
Never to return
Leaving me here alone
Drowning in my own tears

From my 4th book Diary of a Crush
