Breakaway
I help you, but won't you help me?

I'm strong, smart, and always save the day.
I mend wounds and always find a way.
You count on me when you need,
Whenever you hurt, suffer or bleed.

I know all of the right words to say.
I pick you up when you lay.
When you're blinded by the light,
I look for you, I be your sight.

Breakaway the pieces and you'll find
I cry, I hurt, and yes, I'm blind.
I'm lost and cold, and in the dark.
Sitting alone on a bench, in the park.

I'm silently wishing that I could die,
I'm reaching up and wondering why.
You ask of me, but should I be asking of you?
Whoever said all knowledge I knew?

I'm strong, smart, and always save the day.
I pick you up when you lay.
Won't you pick me up when I'm down?
Won't you remove that frown?
