SILENT CRIES
Who can hear the cries Of the woman with soft eyes Who weeps just inside? Are those cries unheard? No, they go to hearts of all And cause them to stir. But it’s a pity: The heart for which they are meant Is impervious. One day the cries cease. The one that causes them thinks, Life is full of peace! * Written in 5-7-5 syllabic format M C Gupta 18 January 2009
