Because there was so much more to do I could not close my eyes When things were not thru Not with my long-time lover Or my daughter Nor my sons I could not sleep until it was done I had to show what I could do I could actually aim Plan and bring Vision plus clarity Pulled up on a string By a rope with rungs I Could Not Sleep Until it was done I would need one good word-Go! Two, good words insure that I might Come awake in the middle night No sleep will remedy my plight Just the pleasure of being Creating and Succeeding Thinking and willing myself to Act! by Earthene Fleming April 1, 2004 Author's Comments: "I forgot that I had composed this poem. It was another tribute to the lonely night of working alone. You might have read my: "Lord, Let the Morning Come".
