LORD, LET THE MORNING COME
I have been too long at work My body won’t lie down Let me see the clay seal covering The morning light As it is rolled back by the sun And I will say: “Hallelujah! The night is done!" Author's Comments: "I love this poem. The clay seal is the coming of the dawn slowly revealing the light. As it is rolled back, it is like the King's ancient clay seal as it was affixed on documents slowly rolled back revealing his official signature for all to see."
