In spite of man’s blind ambition,
nature allows our existence with or without our assistance. The earth loves without condition. Unconcerned with disposition, we waste the bounty of the land as though, by right, we had command. The earth loves without condition. Yet our innate intuition should warn us that there is an end. We see the omens that portend. The earth loves without condition. Through loving acts of commission we can return the care that’s shown and, perhaps, our demise postpone. The earth loves without condition. Notes Form: The Kyrielle form is very flexible, in that there are only three basic rules: (1) written in rhyming quatrains (4-line stanzas), (2) the last line of each stanza is repeated throughout the entire poem, and (3) each line has only 8 syllables. Thank you for reading. Please, take an additional minute and leave a comment. It will be appreciated. Ken
