To Teach is to Learn
A teacher's perspective of the first day.

Eyes
open,
stare at me
waiting for my
words.

Do
I have
the wisdom
to educate
them?

Will
I be
able to
break existing
walls?

I
am but
a person,
not so unlike
them.

Trust
in them,
believe in
given mission
here.

Breathe,
smiling,
begin the
journey we shall
take.

Teach,
learn and
acknowledge
the gift in this
room.
