First there are the simple rules
Dainty damsels, lucky fools Daring quests and rules of three Within the worlds of fantasy Then there are the darker shades Ogres, witches, helpless maids Virtue wins not easily Within the worlds of fantasy There are tales that twist on reading Expectations are misleading Damsels bold their princes free Within the worlds of fantasy. Comic tales here take their cue And ask “what if that troll were you? Through other eyes, what do you see Within the worlds of fantasy?” In tales like these we travel far While sitting by a cosy hearth And all can prince and pauper be Within the worlds of fantasy. All tales must tell us something true And help to stretch the mind anew. We see the past and what may be Within the worlds of fantasy. Created for day two of the "Rhythm & Rhyme Poetry Challenge"
