This poem is written as an OTTAVA RIMA:
written in stanzas of 8 lines each. (one stanza, or as many as) Each line should have 10 or 11 syllables. The rhyme pattern for each stanza should be: a, b, a, b, a, b, c, c. IMPRISONED Broken heart mended with misery’s tears Carefully guarded with lock and with key. Sheltered from love for the rest of my years My heart protected from more injury. Being alone was my greatest of fears Working to bring back the person that’s me. Then, into my life you happened to stride Picked up the pieces and made me your bride.
