I used to spend a lot of time beating myself up about not getting anything done. I came to the conclusion I must be either lazy or unorganized and worked even harder to keep up.
One day I was making a list of all the things I wanted to accomplish for the week. I had about twenty items written down and was thinking of more when it hit me. I would be lucky to get that list completed within a month. The problem isn’t laziness or disorganization; the problem is that after working a regular job, paying bills, doing chores and taking care of the cat, I don’t have much free time. I was trying to do too much. If I want a somewhat normal life with friends, I might have to be less obsessive. I still have three or four projects in different stages of completion, but I don’t worry about it. Nothing says they can’t stay on the list forever.
