Subject: DT #3 Writers / Writer / Creative Writing

I prefer to read paranormal romances. Nothing like pairing up a vampire or a werewolf with a heroine or a hero! Time travel books keep me occupied for hours too.

I don't think the protagonist always has to win, however as a society of readers, isn't that the way it's suppose to be? I like a good twist in a story and sometimes the protagonist not triumphing in the end is just the twist a book needs. It also leads to the possibility of a sequel where eventually he/she may win.

Most of the books I read, the characters grow, they don't necessarily need an epiphany to accomplish this. Not all my own stories have epiphanies interlaced within them either.
