I lie here, letting the great wave of numbness wash over me; letting it fill all my useless senses with the long awaited dullness that creeps slowly over into every pore and fiber of my body. The bitter taste and burning of my throat as I consume more drink do nothing to deter my intentions. I intend to drink away all my sorrows. And that is what I am doing, letting the alcohol comfort me. Make my empty life more complete, whole. I press the lip of the bottle in between my own lips and let the liquor slide down, warm, smooth, delicious.
The drink is almost as enticing as the scent drifting through my nostrils from down the hall. But the scent wins over, warmer than the drink and much more infatuating. I let my tongue slip in between my lips as a dark smile appears. I bite down on my lower lip, suppressing a giggle. If he only knew how sweet he smelled. If only he knew how his day was going to end.
I know how it will end. But, shh… I promise I won’t ruin it for you. You’ll just have to wait and see. Just like him. Ha ha. Wait and see. That’s right…
I sit up. The soft, silk lingerie sticks to my cool skin. Following my well-formed legs nicely as I slide off the bed, the bottle dangles elegantly between my long fingers. I glide across the floor, carefully opening the front door, quietly. I lean out softly, smiling to myself, observing. My tongue plays gently over my lips, anticipating.
“Hey,” my voice plays off the dim lit tangerine walls. The group of young men at the other end turns from their conversation, eyes in my direction. Two pairs of green eyes, a set of baby blues, and another drowning chocolate brown all bent on me. I give them a playful wave. One of the red-haired twins smiles back at me as the candles flicker, making his face as lively as his red hair. I wink, baiting him.  His smile widens.
I turn back, just a step, lingering in the doorway. They’re biting. Good. The overly arrogant twin takes a bold step forward while his brother and friends look on anxiously. I feel my own wicked smile spreading as he gets closer.
