“Home with the Flu”
(with apologies to Julie Andrews) (--sung to the melody of "My Favorite Things") Hot sweaty forehead and body that’s achy Red runny nose and a brain that feels flakey Boxes of Kleenex and cough drops to chew These are the signs that I’m home with the flu. Drag down the hall and I turn on the TV News shows and game shows and cooking with green tea Talk shows and judge shows that can’t all be true That’s what I watch when I’m home with the flu. When my nose runs When my throat hurts When I’m feeling bad I simply remember that it could be worse And then I feel really glad. ![]()
