Stargate SG1 Fan Fiction

Time line note:
This story is set after the colonization of Atlantis part way through season 8. This is an Alternate Reality story changing what will happen in season 9&10.

The gate dialled the wormhole opened and the M.A.L.P went through.

In the Control Room Sergeant Hariman watched the View Screen as the M.A.L.P started transmitting. General O’Neill you've got to see this he said to the general who had just entered the Control Room. The General walked over to the view screen and looked at the image of a large room that looked just like the Atlantis Gate Room.

'I think we may have found another Ancient Outpost Sir.' Walter Said to the General.

Jack walked up to the view screen and looked in amazement at what he was seeing. He picked up the phone and called Daniel Jackson.

Daniel was working in his Lab when the phone rang and he answered it. 'Daniel come down to the Control room you'll want to see this.' Jack said down the phone.

Daniel put the phone down and headed to the Control Room.

Daniel walked into the Control Room and saw the image on the view screen 'Tha.. that looks just like...'

'Atlantis I know' finished Jack 'that’s why I called you down Daniel'

Daniel moved closer to the view screen so he could have a better look at the footage coming through. ’Can we investigate the base Jack?’ Daniel asked still looking at the footage as the M.A.L.P’s camera moved around the base showing the control room and the door in the ceiling that on Atlantis leads to the Jumper Bay.

‘I’ll contact Sam and Teal’c. Be in the briefing room in 30 minutes’ Jack said to Daniel before he walked out of the Control Room and headed for his office.

Daniel stayed in the Control Room and studied the footage more before heading for the Briefing Room. He arrived just as Jack, Sam and Teal’c did also and they entered the room together and sat down. ‘OK P6X-889’ Jack said looking at SG-1 ‘Daniel do you want to explain what we found’ he continued handing out some files.

‘OK’ said Daniel as he stood up walked over to the screen and turned on the footage from the planet. ‘I think we’ve found another Ancient Outpost’

‘That looks like the Atlantis Gate Room’ Sam said.

‘That’s why I think it’s an Ancient Outpost’ replied Daniel. ‘I’ve studied the footage closely and everything does point to it being just like Atlantis. I propose that we go and investigate to see if we could set up a base there.’

‘I’ve contacted the President and if you give the go-ahead for a base he will contact the other world leaders and get another group of international Scientists and military people together to man the base. OK people you ship out in 1 hour.’


1 hour later.


SG-1 enter the Gate Room kitted up ready to ship out. In Daniels face a look of excitement as he realized he was actually going to see inside an intact Ancient Outpost. The gate spun into action the wormhole appeared inside its ring and SG-1 moved up the ramp and through the Gate.

SG-1 emerged in the Gate Room of the Ancient Outpost and Daniel immediately started looking around he was like a kid in a candy shop.

‘This is amazing’ he said to the others running his hands across the surfaces as he took in as much of his surroundings as he could.

‘Be careful Daniel, we don’t want to trigger a self destruct or other security feature this base might have.'

Sam’s voice did not seem to register with Daniel as he continued to look around what could only be described as the bases control room. ‘This place is nearly identical to Atlantis. It has to be an Ancient Outpost.' He said as his foot tripped on something, his hand hitting the control panel next to him as he tried to steady himself.
‘Daniel I told you to be careful’ came Sam’s voice as the room started to shake.
Daniel got himself back to his feet and examined the console he had hit moments before. ‘Sorry Sam looks like I’ve accidently triggered the launch sequence.’
‘Can you stop it?’ Sam replied heading over to Daniels location.

‘I’m working on it.’ He replied as he scanned and pressed buttons on the control panel. The shaking stopped and Daniel checked the readings ‘Launch aborted.’ He said looking up at Sam and Teal’c.
‘Let’s try not to press anymore buttons.’ Sam said looking directly at Daniel as she spoke.
‘Sam.’ Daniel said keeping her attention ‘while looking for the abort command I found the bases map.’ He continued placing his hand on the control panel again.
‘Daniel!’ Came Sam’s voice as a map came up on the screen in front of them. The 3 of them stood for a few moments studying the image, taking in what they saw.
‘You were right Daniel.’ Teal’c said ‘It is just like Atlantis.’
