Mystic stargazer, won’t you please tell me
whence I should go to find my own true love? I’ve followed Orion across the sea from Manhattan to far-off Singapore. Just show me some astral sign up above which will guide me to that fortunate shore. I will not have to face this world alone if you’ll point me in the right direction. Renowned soothsayer, make the truth be known, and terminate all my romantic doubts by scanning constellation trajection before my youth wilts from these lonesome bouts. Mystic stargazer, won’t you please tell me I will not have to face this world alone? Author’s note: For those not familiar with the Cornish sonnet, an explanation of the form and examples can be found at the following links: http://www.thepoetsgarret.com/2006Challenge/six.html
