Love and Hate
A poem about the love and hate stemming from imperfection...

With all of the love and hate that we’ve got,
The family and friends who’d help us, or not,
No one’s perfect, so should we complain?
I never meant to cause anyone such pain…

I cherish the noble and smart gift of love
Sent to me from God, from His throne up above.
Those friends and family mean everything to me;
They allow me to sing with a voice loud and free!

As for folks who keep saying, I’ve done them some wrong,
I’ve spent my whole life trying to be strong!
In fact, your weakness is God’s greatest shame;
I gave you my love, and you gave me your name…

But no one’s at fault, for no one in particular
Can claim to be normal, or act too irregular.
But changing the game means giving some love
To the people whose attitude fits like a glove!
