Without You, I'm Better

No binding ties to hold me down,
no answers I need make
no hurtful words to make me frown,
no more abuse I need to take.

I didn't believe what they said about you.
I refused to hear what they said.
Now, I see their words to be true.
My eyes have opened up instead.

Your selfish ways have hurt us all.
You've stolen, cheated and lied.
Your habits and your late-night calls
were unexplainable, even when you tried.

No more chances, I've made up my mind.
There's nothing you can say or do
to change my heart or make me find
any feelings of love to have for you.

I want you gone, away from here;
I want you out of my house.
Don't beg or plead or fake a tear,
I no longer want you as my spouse.

I don't want you in my life anymore,
don't even send me a letter.
Things will never be like they were before
because without you, I am better.
